This Teen Was Feeling Extreme Neck Pain. When The Doctors Diagnosed Her, Her Parents Were Shocked!

I do not know about you, yet I have become used to always look down at my phone, iPad or computer, yet not as much as my teenage and young adult children.

Many times I need to ask them the same question 3-4 times till they hear me. You can see a table of grown-ups and children out to eat at a restaurant, where everybody is looking down at their telephone.

You might think that what I am getting at here is the antisocial aspect of social media absorption.

However that is a side problem. But, something more dramatic and physically damaging is happening to young people, just like this 14-year-old girl in the video that you will watch. It is called “Text-Neck”. The excessive looking down at tech devices is the cause for pain in the neck that does not usually happen until middle or old age.

Not just youngsters experience this pain, but when x-rayed their spines appear “reverse curve spinal damage!” This damage turned up on 14-year-old Sarah Aitchison’s x-beam.

You will see her meeting with Dr. Chad Cotter who talks about the disturbing number of secondary school students he is seeing with neck torment, headaches, tension across shoulders and even numbness and tingling down their arms.

You should watch the footage below in order to hear the discussion of this syndrome, and its treatment. We all have to be aware of what this posture can do. Surprisingly there is an App that can be used to warn you when you have been in “Text-Neck” position for too long.
