Use the ice pack to get rid of bruises. This works best on a fresh bruise. The ice tightens the blood vessels and prevents the further spilling out of the blood into the skin.

How to apply it?

 

Wrap ice bits in a towel. A bag of frozen peas, ice-cool water or a refrigerated tea bag can be applied on the affected area around 10 minutes daily. Besides reducing the size and redness of the bruise, the ice numbs the area of bruises, reduces swelling and eases the pain you feel, too.

Apply warm compress on a 5 to 6 hours old bruise

Put on some warm compress if the bruise is 5-6 hours old. If you put a water bag or a wash cloth on the bruise, it will expand the blood vessels. Also, it improves the blood course and helps the body to push out the blood from the bruises faster.

You need to do this no less than 20 minutes three times daily for 2-3 days.

Arnica gel

Arinca gel for bruises is a well known remedy which has been shown to be a product by number of medicinal scientists.

Essential oils

Needed ingredients:

– 30 drop of Geranium
– 15 drops of Lavender
– Cypress: 10 drops 
– 10 drops of Lemon grass
– 5 drops of Helichrysum
– 5 drops of Frankincense
– Fennel, Myrrh, Rosemary: 5 drops of each

Mix all these essential oils in one container and apply it frequently for best results.

Parsley leaves

Crash the parsley leaves and spread it around the affected area. Wrap it with a flexible wrap. As an alternative to parsley leaves, you can use Hyssop leaves too.

Watercress
