Natural Tips and Remedies for Bitter Tastes in the Mouth

There are many home remedies that can help stimulate your taste buds, get more saliva and get rid of the bitter taste in your mouth.

1 - Good oral hygiene:

Dentists recommend brushing your teeth twice a day, and preferably after each meal. You should also brush your teeth for 2-3 minutes, which is long enough to eliminate bacteria, leftover food, and plaque. You should also use dental floss regularly to remove any remaining food pieces between your teeth.

 

2 - Baking soda:

The National Cancer Institute recommends rinsing your mouth with baking soda. Simply mix 1/4 tablespoon of baking soda and 1/2 tablespoon of salt in a cup of hot water. Gargle with this mixture to eliminate the bitter taste in your mouth then rinse with water.

3 - Eat citrus fruits:

Fruits like lemons, oranges and grapefruit also help to shed more saliva and thus eliminate the bad taste of your mouth.
