How to transfer the content of VHS cassettes to your computer in two minutes!

In this article we will explain how to transfer the contents of old VHS tapes to your computer using a cable in no time.

 You need to :

 A cassette player: At the cassette player behind you input: yellow for video connection, white and red for mono audio connection for stereo audio connection.

 

A computer: Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive. You need about 750M space cocks for a 60-minute tape.

An adapter: it will connect the drive to the computer. This is the Elgato Video Capture. It costs about 80 dollars.

Insert your cassette tape into your video player. Connect your cable between your computer and your player. Install the software and you are now ready to start. The software will explain the process. You name your file. To be on being connected, test the image and sound. Using your mouse, you press the big red button on your screen to start recording. You are now being recorded live. At the end of the video, press the same red button to stop recording. Once the video was recorded you can shorten your video by cutting unwanted parts at its beginning or end.
